WELLINGTON (NZ): A 14-year-old who nearly died during an exorcism underwent emergency treatment after relatives scratched at her eyes to remove what they believed was a devil.
The girl, who had pieces scratched from her eyeballs, is a cousin of Janet Moses, a woman who died during the ceremony, conducted by a Maori family in Wainuiomata, near Wellington, on October 12.
Relatives are believed to have used a syringe to force water into her eyes and poured water down her throat…
Isn’t it amazing what fanatics will do in the name of exorcism?

There are so many biblical stories promoting what can only described as Evil—without an extreme stretch of the imagination it would take to reinterpret them to mean something else. It’s always good to read the bible with an open mind. You’ll find that in many places it really doesn’t say what the bible-spewers are claiming that it does.

At first I saw the Youtube title of this video, “Should this video be banned?” and the intro saying it was likely to be flagged and removed, and I said to myself, “It wouldn’t do to post a video that is going to go ‘poof’.” Then I noticed that it’s been up there since June. I guess whatever vile and perverted things he said about the catholic church must have been sufficiently neutralized by that bleepage in the first part of the video.
Every child should hear this in a diversity class. Haha, that’ll never happen.

For those of you who think that the bar of rationality is as low as it can go, we present the Creation Museum. If you look carefully, you can read a lot of the amazingly convoluted drivel on the signs by the displays.
I am always astounded that people are able to ignore all the evidence of evolution they live with in order to pretend that ancient magickal creation stories are true.

The change came quietly. Few noticed, at first. But yesterday morning, Google turned against its long-held motto and became evil. The appearance of the sign? On every stock ticker.
Yes, a price of 666.00. Is the end near?

Republicans Should Ask, ‘Who would Jesus torture?’
A. Alexander, November 10th, 2007
The Republican Party is supposed to be home to a lot of Christians and that might be true. Judging by the view of most Republicans, however, the Party doesn’t appear to contain very many Christ-like people. It is hard to imagine Jesus Christ waterboarding someone while sermonizing on turning the other cheek, or loving thy neighbor, or doing unto others as you’d have them do unto you.
And yet, a lot of Republicans, Christian Conservative Republicans, are vocal supporters of torture.

It used to be that to become pope, you had to sit pantsless in a horseshoe-shaped chair and let a couple of cardinals see if you had the goods. If you passed, they’d yell “Testiculos habet et bene pendentes!” (He has testicles, and they hang well!) It’s true, in those days it took balls to become Pope.
Back then, the Papacy was reserved for the hardasses, guys you wouldn’t mess with–the gangsters, the demon-summoners, the corpse-digger-uppers. Here are the ones we consider the biggest badasses. And, no, we didn’t make any of this up.
