My christian daughter says I’m going to hell

Ok. What we have here is a question that seems to have an incorrect answer.
The guy asks what to do about the fact that his ex-wife has taken his daughter to a flaming fundamentalist church her whole life, and now the daughter is convinced he’s going to hell. What does the “expert” helpfully suggest? That he start attending church with her, some time after which he can say he gave it an honest try and realizes it’s still not for him.
Let’s take a step back. The cause of the problem is that this guy has been willing to abdicate his responsibility in the religiously-orientated upbringing of this child. He has allowed his ex-wife to indoctrinate her with all kinds of fucking religious crap, and now, surprise, she believes it.
It’s time for the non-religious to stand up for what they believe in. We are under no obligation to teach our unchurched children about multiple religions in order to allow them to choose from the menu or craft one of their own. Would a catholic or a muslim do that? Absolutely not!
But Atheists have somehow been brainwashed into thinking that only believers have the right to pass on their religious orientation to their kids. Nope. That’s bullshit.
Stand up for what you believe in (or don’t believe in, as the case may be). Teach your children what and why. If you don’t know yourself, do some reading. Don’t let somebody else brainwash your kid because they think it’s good for both of you. It’s not.
